Using Remote-Assist with Microsoft Windows Vista Common Problems Using Remote-Assist Controlling a remote PC with Remote-Assist Within 1-4 hours of applying for a trial account you should receive an email containing a 4 digit account number along with an admin and client password. If you don't receive this email please phone 0800-6337483 (NZ only).
Open a web browser at http://ra.net.nz and enter the account number and client password and download and run the resulting program.
After 5-30 seconds a message should appear on the lower right hand corner indicating that the internet connection has been successfully tested.
You can click 'Options' if you want to permanently install Remote-Assist.
Open a web browser at http://ra.net.nz/rc and enter the account number and client password and download and run the resulting program.
When the Remote-Control program starts you must enter the admin password and click 'Connect'.
Within 20 seconds of clicking 'Connect' a message should appear on the controlling PC prompting you to take control of the remote PC.
Click 'Yes' and a window should open on your desktop showing the remote PC's Destop.
You can select 'Options' then 'Install' if you want to permanently install Remote-Control.
